Day traders tend to spend a good amount of time in front of the computer. Whether it is researching stocks or actually trading, it is not uncommon to spend 8+ hours behind the screens on any given day. While the actual act of trading is a solitary one, the support and teamwork of a community can elevate traders to new levels. Traders can use the internet to share ideas, garner information, and much more. Utilizing the communication functionalities of the internet allows traders to have a broader perspective into the markets and improve their trading strategy daily. That being said, it can be difficult to find like-minded traders who are looking to share ideas. This is the very reason Investors Underground was formed.
Investors Underground was initially launched in 2008 as a live trading chat room. The chat room allows traders to communicate during the day and share trade ideas. The chat room is still the foundation of the Investors Underground service, however the offerings have expanded since the company’s inception in 2008.
Investors Underground now serves as a full service trading community and educational resource. The Investors Underground methodology is comprised of a few key elements: educate, prepare, execute, & analyze.
Educate
In order to maintain the quality of messages in the trading chat room, it is important that all traders have a basic foundation in the markets. Not everyone needs to be a pro, however, it’s beneficial to the community if traders understand how the market operates. Investors Underground has released two trading courses over the past few years. The first, Textbook Trading, covers the basics of the stock market and day trading. The courses touches on topics like brokers, technical analysis, good/bad trades, and more. The second course, Tandem Trader, provides a more hands-on learning experience, achieved by going over actual trades in real-time. The goal of Tandem Trader is to bridge the gap between trading theory and trading practice.

Prepare
Preparation is key when it comes to day trading. No trader should expect to come to the market without a game plan and make money. Like any job, you must be prepared. Investors Underground provides nightly stock scans for members. These scans are focused on momentum stocks with high volume and high probabilities of providing trading opportunities in the coming day. Each stock on the watch list is backed up with a chart and a trading game plan, ensuring that members are all on the same page when it comes time to trade the next day.

Execute
Regardless of how prepared you are, actually trading stocks is a completely different beast. You need to be familiar with order flow, proper entry/exit points, intraday chart patterns, and more. That is one of the reasons why traders like to communicate with each during the day. The Investors Underground chat room allows traders to share ideas and alerts throughout the day. While the chat room is specifically for alerts, less experienced members may contact chat room moderators with specific questions via private messages.

Analyze
If you think mastering the art of trading is a one-time process, think again. Day trading requires constant analysis and adjustment. What works one time may not work another. Day traders need to be focused on constantly improving their skill sets. For this reason, Investors Underground releases daily trade recap videos. These videos are designed to break down a trade and focus on what went right and what went wrong. Even the best traders make mistakes on a regular basis! These video recaps help new traders better understand the rationale behind a trade and potentially avoid costly mistakes in the future.
